Frankincense- Frankincense is a mighty resin. It works to strengthen skin and increase its tone and elasticity which can help reduce signs of aging (although in my personal opinion, wrinkles are beautiful). It’s antibacterial properties can help to reduce acne. Frankincense has deeply healing properties that can help restore ance scars, general scars, and fade stretchmarks. Its antiseptic and astringent properties help to heal and tighten inflamed mucous membranes. Frankincense has a pentacacyclic triterpene structure which can help reduce redness and skin irritation to help create a more even skin tone. The boswellic acid found in frankincense has been scientifically studied and has been used in Ayurveda to help reduce arthritis. ✨

Tallow- Tallow is the absolute best moisturizer I have ever found for skin (and I have struggled with my fair share of eczema and dry skin). It is so rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K along with B12. This antioxidant rich vitamins help produce collagen and are essential for our skin health. The fat soluble forms of these vitamins are very rare to non-existant to find in plant based materials. But lovely tallow is jam packed with them 💪

Since tallow is animal based, it’s fatty acids are very similar to our skins cell membranes and can absorb into our skin much easier than plant-derived and petroleum-based moisturizers

Olive oil- Olive oil is a powerful emollient, it helps give the skin a more uniform, smooth texture. Olive oil is rich in linoleic acid, oleic acid, and stearic acid, three essential fatty acids that help maintain the skins moisture barrier. Rich in antioxidants, this oil helps fight the harmful free radicals that our skin absorbs from our environment.
