This lip balm came about out of my love for ghee covered dates. I loved how my silky the ghee felt on my lips after eating and wanted to formulate a lip treatment that would be this and so much more.

Why these lovely ingredients?

~Ghee~ What is Ghee? It's a lovely golden clarified butter where the milk solids are removed resulting in only the nourishing butter fat. Ghee has been my baby lately and I’m so excited for it to be the star of this lip balm.
• Benefits of ghee: this highly valued skin care ingredient in Ayurveda is rich in fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, antioxidants (squalene), minerals, and fatty acids. It is great at hydrating skin, reducing inflammation, repairing damaged skin, and decreasing appearance of wrinkles. It is lovely for helping lighten under eye dark circles, which is why I also recommend this product for under eye dark circles

~Tallow~ llocal grass-fed tallow slow rendered by me in a 7 day process.
•Benefits of tallow: rich in fat soluble vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K. Very similar to our skin cell membranes which easily allows for absorption.

~Cacao butter~ this Cacao butter is organic, fair-trade, and raw. Cacao butter is less processed than cocoa butter so it retains more of its nutrients. It smells sooo heavenly😍🤤
•Benefits of Cacao butter: rich in fatty acids including saturated fat, stearic acid (helps lock in moisture), and palmitic acid (helps with rashes, irritation, redness, dryness, and locking in moisture). Also a great source of antioxidants including cacao mass polyphenols (helps decrease appearance of wrinkles, helps sooth dermatitis, rashes, and sensitive skin, and helps improve skin tone)

~Bees wax~ local raw bees wax🐝
•Benefits of bees wax: increases melting point (still don’t keep it in a hot car), helps lock in moisture, skin softening, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidant

The tube is compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable AND double the volume of product than a regular plastic lip balm (.3 oz)
